Recently, I visited Prasino for a business lunch based on someone’s recommendation. I really enjoyed the decor when I first walked in. Very upscale, open, and bright. I was early, but the restaurant was not very noisy. Since it was a business lunch, this was perfect. We were able to have a great conversation without interruption. The wait staff was very attentive, and quick. However, they were not pushy at all.
As far as drinks go, if you want anything “diet” or a standard soft drink you will not get one here. Since the restaurant focuses on farm to table and organic ingredients, they do not sell anything that contains aspartame, or other additives. The iced black tea was a great choice.
For an appetizer, we had the Lobster Avocado with Mango Salsa and Chili Beurre Blanc. This was a great chilled appetizer with tons of lobster, and lots of avocado. I was a little disappointed that it was served in a salad-like presentation instead of something to share, perhaps with some toasted baguettes, toast points, or even toasted pita. It would have been a little easier to share with another person that way. It was a bit messy getting it to another plate.
For my entree, I had the Fig and Prosciutto Flatbread with Prosciutto, black mission figs, mozzarella, goat cheese, arugula, and a maple whiskey glaze. This was tremendous! I really enjoyed the entire dish.
Overall, I enjoyed dining at Prasino, and I look forward to going back with my wife to check it out at dinner. I encourage you to check it out as well!
